Dear Alan Rickman,
Even though I know I'm supposed to love Edward most in Sense and Sensibility, especially the part when Emma Thompson realizes he is, in fact, not married, I can't help loving you best. I don't believe Colonel Brandon came in second with Marianne, and you certainly do not with me. You beat Willoughby and that dreadful Robert Farris and even Hugh Grant every time.
(Unless Hugh is writing for Horse and Hound. That one kills me.)
Other than that, Alan, you're first in my book.

Could not agree more. Watched that this morning ironically enough, and I adore him in this movie. Willoughby was fine, but shallow, and Edward was good but not able to follow his heart. Colonel Brandon is the only one who has everything going for him.
