Dearest Melis,
You did not have a physics lab yesterday because it is the first week of class, yet I do not remember you calling me like you promised to do. Have you forgotten me already? I received a phone call while I was at the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery paying homage to the Transcendentalists. I expected you, but received Thomas. Who would ever expect him to call? And he even answered when I called him back (I couldn't interrupt my cemetery experience, you know how much I love cemeteries). Perhaps he read my letter. You didn't answer when I called you. Hopefully you read this letter.
Love,
Your Favorite Roommate
P.S. There were rocks on Emerson and Louisa May Alcott's graves.
