A post for Grandma Kathy and Charlotte

This week at work has gone in waves. I'll have three hours of hectic, get-this-ad-done-as-fast-as-you-can work, and then everything stops as I wait for approval, changes, and ridiculous requests. During that waiting game, I've pondered a lot of really important things. Things like,

  • Justin Bieber. Have you seen his movie? Netflix stream-able, and don't laugh; he's actually an amazingly talented musician. Never would have known if I hadn't watched the movie (thanks, D!).
  • Swimsuits. Got an Urban Outfitters email today telling me they are in (who in their right mind wants to buy a swimsuit in January?).
  • Rain boots. Thank goodness I bought them since my snow boots seem to be missing and there was snow the entire way to the office.
  • Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close. All I want to do is read that book. And then go see the movie, even if it is the saddest movie my classmate had ever seen.
  • Daydreams. Of the Berkshires. Obviously.
  • Ke$ha. Embarrassing, I know, but I can't help it.
  • Fashion blogs. Specifically, this one. Which leads me to Grandma and Charlotte:
I want to learn how to sew my own clothes. I don't know why I've never thought about this before. This woman is adorable, and aside from shopping at The Loft from now on (if a 4' 10" woman can find clothes that fit I can, I have two inches on her!), I've learned that, hello, I should just make clothes. Then they would actually be the right size. What a brilliant thought.

Problem: I don't know how to sew. And don't even know where to begin. Not that now is the right time anyway, last semester and all. But when has that stopped me from taking on additional projects? (see: parents' anniversary book.)

Teach me?
